Use Case

From promotion to redemption — know what happened.

Closed-Loop Coupon & Offer Redemption

Indemption connects the originating campaign, customer response, issued offer and final redemption so marketers can measure more than the initial QR scan.

The loop

From the first scan to a closed transaction.

  1. Promote

A postcard, advertisement, package, sign, email or other source presents the offer.

  2. Identify / Request

The customer scans the QR code and identifies themselves or requests the offer.

  3. Issue

Indemption obtains or generates the appropriate serialized coupon or offer based on the configured provider/workflow.

  4. Deliver

Send the offer by email and, where configured, make it available for Apple or Google Wallet.

  5. Validate

At redemption, validate the coupon, customer or transaction according to the configured rules.

  6. Redeem & Close

Record the redemption and close the associated offer/transaction.

  7. Report

Connect the redemption back to the original campaign, recipient, QR source and distribution channel.

Attribution is only part of the loop

The scan is the start. Redemption closes it.

Traditional QR reporting often stops at the scan. Indemption can continue the transaction through offer issuance and redemption, allowing businesses to connect marketing activity with a completed business outcome.

Example flow

A direct-mail offer, followed through.

Where closed-loop offers belong.

  • Manufacturer coupons

  • Direct mail offers
  • Loyalty / customer retention
  • Event promotions

  • Serialized incentive programs

Redemption is validated according to the rules configured for each offer. Point-of-sale connections depend on the workflow in place for that program.
